Fun Things To Do In Fall- Outdoor Activities For Everyone

Fall is here! It’s time for pumpkin, spice, and everything nice.

It’s also time to take out the walking boots, the cozy sweaters, and beanies and prepare for some awesome outdoor adventures.

As the weather gets colder, we have the tendency to stay more indoors, binge-watching our favorite TV shows or catching up on so much-needed reading.

If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, you probably get bored easily inside the house. That’s why we’re here!

We’ve prepared for you a list of fun things to do in fall, so you can get out of the house and into the wild!

Fall activities for couples

If your partner shares your love for the great outdoors, why not transform your dates into small adventures?

There are so many fall activities for adults that you can enjoy, depending on your personality and preferences.

Are you more laid back and relaxed? Then you would probably love a simple walk in the park, or in the forest, where you can admire the autumn leaves and the coppery, burnt orange colors. Walks in nature are a great way to destress, unwind and breathe in some fresh air.

A fun idea would be to tour a winery, so you can learn how wine is made and get the chance to taste some delicious local wines.

At night, you can grab a cozy, fluffy blanket and some mulled wine and go stargazing together. There’s nothing more romantic than hugging under the blanket and watching the starry sky with your beau.

If you’re the really active type, we have some fall ideas for you too.

Grab your bikes and take your partner on a long bike ride in the scenic countryside.

Hiking is not only for the summertime. You can have some awesome hikes during autumn too, and you could even camp overnight.

Take your better half rafting or on a kayak canoe trip if you long for some adrenaline rush.

Fall activities for families- how to entertain the kids?

Even though temperatures start to drop this time of the year, it’s a great idea to plan some outings with the whole family.

Kids need to spend time in nature, and there are a lot of child-friendly activities.

Plan your weekends so that you can head out of the house and take advantage of the sunny weather.

You can go on a nature scavenger hunt in the park or even in your own backyard. The kids can search for orange and yellow leaves, pine cones, or acorns.

You can also have a fall picnic in the courtyard. Pack lots of blankets, some tasty treats, and hot drinks.

If you’re up for a whole weekend away, take your family on a camping trip. You can make a bonfire, make s’mores, sing camping songs with the little ones, and even stargaze.

Other fall activities for toddlers include:

  • Visiting a petting zoo.
  • Making a scarecrow.
  • Playing in big piles of leaves.
  • Pumpkin carving.
  • Taking hayrides.
  • Flying a kite.

Fun things to do in the fall with friends

Grab your fun-loving group of friends and hit the road. Every weekend can be different and full of good times.

Take a road trip around the country. The scenery changes quite dramatically in fall, making it the perfect time to take out your camera and snap some Insta worthy shots.

Rent a cabin with your friends and spend some days laughing, telling stories by the bonfire, relaxing in the outdoor jacuzzi or the warmed-up infinity pool.

If your gang likes beer or cider, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to visit a local brewery or cidery. Spend a Saturday or Sunday with your best buds drinking hot spiked mulled apple cider and munching on warm apple cider donuts.

A group hike sounds like a lot of fun! Spend a few days in the mountains or a national park with friends. You can explore the trails all day long, and at night you can gather around the campfire and play the guitar, roast marshmallows, and play some drinking games.

Are you still thinking about what to do in your free time these days? We’ve got more ideas for you.

If you like all things spooky, you can organize a horror movie marathon in the courtyard. Invite all your close friends and watch some of the Halloween classics.

Speaking of Halloween, there are a lot of fun activities centered around this spooky holiday.

You can visit a haunted house. You can check the pumpkin patch with the kiddos and choose the best pumpkins for carving or get lost in a creepy corn maze and find your way out.

Whatever you decide to do this fall, we’re sure you're going to have lots of fun and plenty of special bonding moments with your loved ones.
